Char Dham Yatra and Harsil 

Many pilgrims during their Char Dham Yatra, stay at Harsil for some duration. The landscape in Harsil is dotted with many small temples that you can visit during your trip to the place. Mostly they reach in the evening, after taking night halt they depart early morning to Gangotri.

The idol of the Hindu River Goddess Ganga (Ganges) is brought down from the shrine at Gangotri in the upper Himalayas after Diwali and kept at ‘Mukhba’ village near Harsil. It remains there throughout the winter when Gangotri is snowbound and inaccessible.

Due to heavy rainfall in the area, visitors may face difficulty reaching the temple during monsoon season (late June to August). Snowfall can be enjoyed during winters, especially from end of November till mid of March.

Kedar Tal : KedarTal is a captivating sight offering crystal clear icy cold water. Situated at an elevation of 4,250mts above sea level. Kedartal can be reached by a difficult 14km trek via Bhoj Kharak and Kedar Kharak.

Gangotri : Gangotri is located 25 kms from Harsil an important religious place for the Hindus.The Gangotri temple is Dedicated to Goddess Ganga river. Gangotri temple opens on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya which comes in April or early May and gets closed on Diwali festival.
